ACTIVE MEMBER OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT HISPANIC NETWORK

April 2026 — Present | Golden, CO

  •  The purpose of the Local Government Hispanic Network is to encourage  professional excellence among Hispanic/Latino local government  administrators, to improve the management of local government, to  provide unique resources to Hispanic local government executives and  public managers, and to advance the goals of professional, effective,  and ethical local government administration. The Network works with  other organizations such as the International City/County Management  Association (ICMA) which shares common goals. 

 

  •  Development of public service professionals at the  local level. LGHN serves as a bridge between professional managers and  communities to create programs and services to address issues critical  to the Hispanic/Latino population and improve overall quality of life.
     

JEFFCO LEAD BRONZE ASPEN LEVEL 1 LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

  • Selected as a mentee in Everyone Outdoors Colorado’s six-month Mentorship Program designed to connect emerging and seasoned outdoor leaders of color.  


  • Leading a session with cohort at the Partners in the Outdoors Conference 2026.
     
  • Participated in a structured program featuring group field trips, trainings, networking events, group projects, and a capstone project — strengthening outdoor leadership, community engagement, and professional development skills.
     
  • Built a growing professional network across Colorado’s outdoor, public lands, recreation, and conservation sectors through cohort interaction and mentor-mentee relationships.
     

CONSERVATION LEADERSHIP SERIES (CLS) PARTICIPANT

  •  Selected by COL for a competitive, statewide leadership cohort program focused on land conservation, public policy, and environmental stewardship.
     
  • Participated in hands-on field tours and overnight experiences across diverse Colorado landscapes, including Northern Colorado, the Eastern Plains, South Park, Gunnison, and the Southeast.
     
  • Gained practical knowledge of land trust tools, conservation funding, and the ecological, cultural, and economic value of protected lands.

AFTER SCHOOL STEM TEACHER WITH SCIENCE MATTERS

  • Led weekly hands-on STEM lessons for elementary students.
     
  • Conducted science demos and assemblies to spark curiosity.
     
  • Created a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TROPICS WITH CIEE

June 2019 — July 2019 | Costa Rica

  • Fulfilled 4-week study abroad program that explored economic development between the environment and society through community engagement and excursions to points of interest. 


  • Composed a grant proposal for the Palito Fisher’s Association in the Island of Chira to buy supplies for a solar cooker to increase energy efficiency. Proposal was submitted to the UN Small Grants Program.


  • Examined different agricultural methods utilized in the region to determine which farming examples could be implemented in the region to encourage sustainable production.


  • Discussed opportunities and threats with local stakeholders to evaluate the changes seen from the community perspective and consider the possible outcomes of development in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
