- Fulfilled 4-week program that explored economic development between the environment and society through community engagement and excursions to points of interest.
- Composed a grant proposal for the Palito Fisher’s Association in the Island of Chira to buy supplies for a solar cooker to increase energy efficiency. Proposal was submitted to the UN Small Grants Program.
- Examined different agricultural methods utilized in the region to determine which farming examples could be implemented in the region to encourage sustainable production.
- Discussed opportunities and threats with local stakeholders to evaluate the changes seen from the community perspective and consider the possible outcomes of development in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
